Visit to the dentist: transcripción de la historia
This is Sofía. She is 26 years old.
Today she wakes up with a toothache. She touches her cheek and feels that it is a little swollen.
She goes to the bathroom, she looks at her mouth in the mirror, but doesn’t see anything.
After breakfast, the pain is stronger.
«Something is not going well,» Sofía thinks worriedly.
She decides to brush her teeth and to use dental floss carefully, but the pain continues.
So Sofía decides to call the dentist to ask for an urgent appointment.
«Hello, I have a strong toothache. Can I come today?» Sofía asks.
The receptionist answers: «Yes, we have an available appointment at 3:00 PM.»
«Perfect, I’ll be there. Thank you.» Sofía says.
Until the appointment time, she decides to take some painkillers to try to rest a Little.
At 2:30 PM, Sofía leaves home and walks to the dental clinic.
She arrives at the clinic and sits in the waiting room. After a few minutes, they call her to enter the consultation room.
«Hello, Sofía. What’s wrong?» the dentist asks.
«My tooth has been hurting a lot since this morning», Sofía says.
«It looks like you have a cavity. I need to do a small treatment», the dentist explains while checking her mouth.
«Is it going to hurt?» Sofía asks with a little fear.
«Don’t worry, I’ll use anesthesia. You won’t feel anything» the dentist says.
Sofía takes a deep breath and closes her eyes while the dentist works. After a few minutes, the dentist finishes the treatment.
«All done, Sofía. Everything is fine now» the dentist says.
«Thank you very much, doctor. I feel much better!» Sofía says, relieved.
The dentist recommends that she not eat anything hard for a few hours.
Sofía pays at reception and leaves the clinic with a big smile.
She walks back home feeling more relaxed. When she gets home, she prepares some hot soup for dinner. «Today was a tough day, but now I’m fine», Sofía thinks.
Finally, she lies down in bed and falls asleep with relief.
